BSC Talks — An AMA with Trees.Finance
On Thursday March 18th, Stu — lead delivery man of Trees Finance and all things $GANJA and our resident Man for everything — sat down with the fine folks at BSC Talks and held a great conversation regarding the state of the project, challenges so far, and the huge features coming up.

Let’s start simple. Could you talk about how it has been since the project launch, and give us a short introduction about it, please?
Stu: Sure… I’ve been involved in a few large scale crypto projects in the past and so has the rest of the team. Our team is composed of developers, artists, and creatives who love the sweet leaf.
We believe we are actually building something special… we have over 1300+ members of our TG community now and more than 100 members of our Smoker Club. We really are feeling very supported by our community right now❤️

Stu: For sure … we launched 10 days ago and raised 286 BNB through presale. Since then we’ve built our community to over 1,300 engaged members and have delivered everything on our immediate roadmap, including an audit by Quillhash finding our smart contract 100% SAFU🔒
trees.finance $GANJA is the first 100% community-driven token on BSC. The project is inspired by Civitas Protocol (CVT) and governed by $GANJA which rolls up 4.20% of each transaction into a community wallet.
The really cool part of the project is the community governance … Voting on the use of community funds is reserved for members of the trees.finance Smokers Club and to join the Smoker Club members must hold a minimum of 1 GANJA.
Yeah, that’s exactly why this token model appealed to us so much. We believe in decentralisation and the power of the people
So each week the Smokers Club votes on how to allocate the GANJA collected in the community fund. The community can choose to do a few things …

💨 Take a hit (reward community members)
🤝 Pass it (for marketing)
✍️ Or propose another own use case…
We had our first community vote last Sunday where we saw over 20 proposals from members. We collected over 200 $GANJA in the community fund a collectively decided to spend the majority of it on marketing (160), send some to the reserve (20) and the rest to reward the community (20).
So this week we have a community airdrop of 20 $GANJA spit fairly among all members on Saturday.

And how about the current Circulation Supply with the token burns, could you tell us about the Tokenomics?
Stu: We actually built a bot called “Chong Bot” who helps the community with prices, marketcap, and chimes into the conversation with the funny one liner. The initial fixed supply of $GANJA was 5000 but we’ve since burned that down to 2909 between pre-sale and now.

How about the NFTs? They are blowing up in crypto, and you have it on your short-term roadmap, as well as I see some giveaways and airdrops. Could you tell us more about what are you working on?
Stu: The NFT space on BSC is in a nascent stage but we believe the same explosive growth NFTs have seen on Ethereum will happen on BSC in the very near future so we’ve betting and building here. We have announced 2 amazing partnerships so far:
The first partnership is with an NFT marketplace developed by @NarutoBSC called JutsuSwap, they were just here for the last AMA actually. @DemonOfTheSand is the homie and they’re doing awesome stuff.
The second partnership is big….
This week we announced a huge partnership with a leading global design agency, Orchid Creative (their clients Google, Google Play, Youtube, Android, LVMH, Coca-cola and more). We share this same spirit of exploration and excitement about the NFT space with our partners at Orchid and are working together to produce limited-run NFT art to drop on the $GANJA Farm. But that’s really just the start. With the $GANJA farm there will be many more NFTs to farm and earn Once you stake your $GANJA you will start to accumulate points which you can then use to redeem NFTs from the farm. NFT’s may have different points values depending on rarity, quantity, and collections. All NFT drops on the $GANJA farm will be limited in quantity to no more than 15, with the majority being only 5 or 10 mints ever made.

How about “Development of Staking & Farming” in your roadmap. Could you tell us more about it?
Stu: Yes, the $GANJA Farm is our main focus atm, we want to get a good cadence of creating and dropping NFT art on the farm and are working with our partners at Orchid on some seriously cool stuff like you just saw. You can learn more about the $GANJA Farm here.
In terms of plans for the future we have ambitions to dive deeper into the NFT space and are evaluating a number of opportunities there. Specifically within the marketplace space — we believe over time the niche community across the web will begin adopting crypto and NFTs and we want to focus on supporting those niche communities when they do. No timeline on that dev tho, taking it one step at a time :)

Stu: Sure, we were aware of the stigma that comes with “drug” coins since the vast majority of tokens that came before us we’re frauds.. So we made SAFU a core principle for the project.

As I already mentioned here in the past, I like the community’s decisions and votes to choose what they want to do.
